KEEP YOUR BOAT AFLOAT

Nothing worse than that sinking feeling…when your boat is sinking…going down…shipwrecked! God has a lot to say to keep your boat on course, in good shape, afloat, with no leaks, and reaching your destination!

The problem is that many are too busy bailing out the water because there are holes in their boat that they are not taking the time to keep the rudder straight and so are perpetually sailing in circles, never getting anywhere really, and when you see them they always say the same thing over and over like that they are just holding on, BUT have all the same problems they had last year only now they are worse! Jesus is the answer and will give wisdom when we ask in faith nothing wavering for he that wavers is like waves of the sea DRIVEN and tossed forward and back. A double minded person will not receive anything of the Lord!

Let’s start with fixing the rudder problem to get our ship where it needs to and should go! The rudder STEERS THE WHOLE BOAT yet is very small compared to the size of the boat! So a little part does a BIG job and is MOST IMPORTANT! If your rudder splits or breaks off….OOPS…NOW YOU ARE GOING NOWHERE FAST!

God says in the book of James 3 that as the rudder is small and yet steers the direction of the whole boat so the tongue is a very small member but makes big problems and is set on fire of hell and boasts great things and is wild so that no man can tame it! In a nut shell if we don’t control the rudder and just let it flop all over the place anywhere it feels like going….we will be headed for great problems and shipwreck!

The problem is what we say that we shouldn’t be saying and don’t say what we should be saying! Have you ever been around people that just talk their problems day and night until you are ready to pull your hair out!? When we talk the problems, sickness, disease, lack, poverty, depression, etc. We are establishing the present evil circumstance and giving the evil full sway in our lives…..the boat has gone in circles so long we are getting dizzy and don’t hardly know which end is up! GOOD NEWS…YOU CAN CHANGE IT ALL FOR THE GOOD AND TOTALLY TURN THE SHIP STRAIGHT BACK ON COURSE FOR THE ABUNDANT LIFE!

James 3 says the tongue is unruly and full of “deadly poison” and with it we bless God and curse man whois made in God’s image. Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. He then says this should NOT be this way! Bitter water and fresh cannot come from the same fountain. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways! Notice God says “man” cannot tame the tongue, and people use at as an excuse to blaspheme, speak evil words of fear, doubt, and unbelief, and lies demons spoke in their minds about life, God, other people, the present, the future, sickness, healing and every conceivable evil thing you can think of! If evil is controlling the tongue it is time to drive out the evil spirits behind that evil for the bad words do NOT come from the “fountain” of the Holy Spirit so the bitter water is coming from another source that is not of God and is designed to destroy people!

Why do you think God made it that when you are baptized in the Holy Spirit you SPOKE language in other tongues as the Spirit gave utterance? The Holy Spirit is the one who tames the tongue as we yield our heart, mind, and tongue to Him! Think about it! What would the Holy Spirit say if somebody thinks something they need is “impossible”? The Holy Spirit is the SPIRIT OF TRUTH so He would say what God says in the Word of God: “WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVES”! So what we need to do is say what the Holy Spirit says!

    1. JUST KEEP PATCHING UNTIL ALL IS WELL AND YOUR BOAT STAYS AFLOAT! PERSEVERANCE IS THE KEY WITH ALL SPIRITUAL THINGS WITH JESUS! SOON YOU WILL BE SOARING FAR ABOVE IT ALL AND YOU WILL LOOK BACK AND IT WILL JUST SEEM LIKE IT ONLY TOOK A FEW MOMENTS TO DO ALL THE PATCHING! BLESSING ON YOU AND A HOLY GHOST QUICKENING!

    1. You are welcome for the prayers… nothing can stop what God wants to go forward! They will weary themselves trying to stop what cannot be stopped! Yes, I’m glad your boat stays afloat now and has been repaired.. nothing worse than a leaky boat.. sailing along smoothly and then gurgle, gurgle it starts sinking.. ut oh.. better get back under the anointing that restores!     1. YES, I COULD SEE THAT BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS LINKED TOGETHER AND ONE THING AFFECTS ANOTHER, ETC. WE DO HAVE TO KEEP THE CARS AND BOATS GOING! THIS IS A PARABLE TO OUTSIDERS… YOU KNOW… HA HA, I CAN SEE THEM SITTING THERE SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS WONDERING WHAT WE ARE POSSIBLY TALKING ABOUT..   44. Okay, I will give a testimony that my music instructor probably doesn’t want me to give, but I’m going to anyway. My friend Jackie was immersed in an NAR church and I think she was losing her mind. So the other night she was texting me that they were “lecturing her” at the church, and I kept texting back for hours finding out when she was going to be finished and when it reached eight hours and they were still bombarding her, I panicked. So I went back to college because I knew my teacher would probably be playing his piano, because he does that some nights after class, and I just knew he was the only one who would be able to help me. He asked if she was there now and I told him yes and he asked me to take him there. So when we went in, we could hear them yelling at her and just screaming and berating her over wanting to leave the church, and he just walked in, grabbed her arm and yanked her out the door! I couldn’t believe he had the nerve to do it. Then three of the pastor’s goons tried to stop him at the front steps and he literally waved his hand at them one by one and they fell down on the ground. I never saw anything like that in my entire life!!!!! And he didn’t even stop to look back, he did it like some people eat breakfast. I thought that stuff only happened back in Bible times! It still gives me chills. He said that ALL Christians can do that. Really??? If so, I think I will fix my boat and my car after all!

    1. Yes, don’t let it go! The Psalmist said his heart was “fixed” trusting in the Lord! It is highly important to get the repair now, then you will be sailing to where you need to go instead of sinking, and going nowhere fast!

    1. At least you saw the leaks and can get them repaired! Some people ignore the leaks until their boat is sinking and then have a real big mess! Keep it afloat, and you will be very glad! Be of good courage and God will strengthen your heart!

  49. Okay, the thing is… My boat is NOT afloat. It got 90 million holes in it now. I was running a good race, I wonder who cut in on me… Oh wait, it was myself. I cut in on me. My life is a big jumbled mess now because of a lot of stupid things I did. Will you pray that I can somehow get back on track? If that’s even possible. Oh dear. Woe is me.

    1. I will pray and your life will get back on track quickly as you go to Jesus and repent, believe that He will help because He said He would! Then yield to the Holy Spirit and ask Jesus to fill you to overflowing with the Holy Spirit and power, and yield your tongue to Him and let the power of the Holy Spirit flow through you! He will lift you up and make the crooked places straight and heal your life! Stay simple and believe in Jesus and the greatness of His power! Be made whole in the name of Jesus!

  64. Well, Rocket Preacher, I now think that it was church that was crazy and not that singer. Because if he crazy, why would God give him power so everything happened that people need to happen? I think he try to get people to come up because it too much power to handle. Now I have a lot to read on this blog, though. He tell people different posts to read in different order. Well, that’s okay. That’s probably a good thing. I’ll read mine.

    1. I depend on the Holy Spirit to bring to life the Word God has to show. I have spent time in the Word of God, and through the years have prayed for revelation, wisdom, and for the eyes of my understanding to be enlightened! The Lord is good! People are not used to this for many that “call themselves ministers” have not spent time in prayer, or the Word of God, and so have no revelation by the Spirit! Then they speak dry words of unbelief and spiritual coldness and blindness! One person well said once that if you have a polar bear in the pulpit you will have icebergs in the pews! Instead of letting the Holy Spirit move they join dead denominations that have the spirit of the world and are full of false doctrines and doctrines of demons!
      Lord Jesus let your Spirit teach us and reveal the truth deep in our hearts and lives!
